mexican

Well, I've been working for the last couple of days, but I do have some exciting news- Paul and I are getting our Dallas apartment on Thursday! Yay! We plan to move in slowly for the next couple of weeks. We can't wait for everyone to see it! Yesterday we drove to Fort Worth after work to exchange something paul used for a school project- not only did he have to drive far, it was pretty pricey and they only take store credit. He WAS able to get some new shoes which look awesome on him, so not a total loss I suppose. After working all day and shoe finding all evening, we were both pretty tired and hungry for Mexican food. I could pretty much eat Mexican food anytime, but definitely when I'm hungry! mmm fajitas. Speaking of Mexican, Paul is graduating in May! He wanted to go to Spain as part of a school group, but after looking more into it, it was just too expensive. I'm so proud of you love! I honestly think I'm more excited about Paul's graduation than I was for mine.

this day

Today Stefan and I had a lunch date...except I forgot that we had a lunch date and ate a huge breakfast. So Stefan had a lunch date, and I watched as he devoured a monstrous high-dollah burger. Afterwards we went for some frozen yogurt. Mom- you would love this place- we will definitely have to go next time you come to town! You basically pay by the ounce, so you can get whatever flavor(s) you like, and top it with whatever you like. Marble Slab for the frozen yogurt/poor/do-it-yourselfers! It was a cute little place with a cute little lady running it.

dreamy day

Yesterday Meredith and I went to a local coffee shop for relaxation and celebration of her new job! We played cards and dominos for hours. I love days like this, don't you?

cupcakes!

I love to bake and eat sweets. equally. I also love Martha Stewart, even though I really want to hate her! Ugh! She probably has a team of expertly trained cleaners/cookers/crafters that put everything together. Either way, I love it all. So, the other day I decided to make Paul, Meredith, and I a little treat of cupcakes. I made a boxed lemon cake (martha is probably squirming) with th
e plan to cut and layer the cakes with raspberry jam like one of Martha's recipes. Staishy made Paul and I some yummy raspberry vanilla jam, which I thought would be perfect! However, apparently Paul thought it was really yummy too, and ate more than I had anticipated. Lesson 1: check stock of food BEFORE starting a cooking project. So I was only able to make a few, but it actually made it really special to eat. : ) With the rest of the cupcakes, I made homemade lemon curd. This is no easy task and the picture is deceiving because it actually didn't taste very good. Thank you Martha for having cute cakes, Paul and Meredith for being my taste testers, and to Staishy for the yummy jam!

new!

I am a brand new, fresh out of the box blogger! Yes, I gave in. I am jealous of those that get to share little funny things that happen in their life with others. I also want to let those of you I don't get to talk to more often know that I love you, and you will now know more information about my life than you probably wanted. Just to let you know, I do not claim to be a good writer, a good photographer...or a good photo editor for that matter. : ) Paul, the babies, and I are doing well! I'm just trying to get my act together and get a job, Paul is doing his school thing, the babies are doing the usual sleeping, eating, and pooing, and we are all soon to be Dallas residents. We are excited! It will be an exciting change from Denton! Why people choose to live here after graduation is beyond me. I guess if you choose to have ugly children- lets just face it people. This happens. I have recently dove into the world of Martha Stewart cupcakes, so I will be posting some pictures and stories about it! Talk to you soon!
